Originally created for NaNoWriMo 2004, we are a group of writers (and some readers) who enjoy hearing criticism. Membership is open to friends of current members. We serve as a forum for discussion of writing, resources, publishing, and other associated topics.
We also operate an informal Round-Robin of sorts in which we allow members to post portions of their works-in-progress (WIPs) for commentary.
1. The Robin works on a one-week cycle, Sunday through Saturday. Members may post only one WIP during a week. 2. WIP posts may be no longer than 5K in length. They must be placed uner a cut-tag. (Links to other sites are allowed.) A word count is helpful, but not required. 3. Posting WIPs is not a requirement, nor will you be penalized for not posting.
Commentary on other posts is not required but is strongly encouraged, even if it's as short as "I liked it" or "I didn't like it".
The moderators reserve the right to remove anyone from the community who has not participated (by posting or responding to someone else's post) for at least three months. Anyone who is unsubbed in this way and wishes to return will be welcome to do so, so long as he or she agrees to participate in the future. This community is meant to be a place for working on our writing, and creating two-way relationships with other writers for our mutual benefit. Having silent "lurkers" who never contribute to the community takes away from this, and makes several of the participating members uncomfortable. Please note that we are not planning to remove anyone who is participating in some way, no matter how small.
Any ex-member may apply for membership again at any time. We do understand, as well, that sometimes real life gets busy and prevents active participation. This is fine, as long as we know you are still interested in being part of this community.
